On Monday, 18 February 2019, in the afternoon at 11:29, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) national road (kilometre 215), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a vehicle, a Krone SD registered in Latvia and a MAN 18.410 registered in Latvia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
