On Wednesday, 27 February 2019, in the afternoon at 14:10, in Panevėžys, on V. Kudirkos street near No. 4, a Jeep Compass hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 84-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Jeep (34 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
