On Friday, 8 March 2019, in the afternoon at 16:40, in Kaunas, on Utenos street, at the junction with Nuokalnės street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Clio and a Ford Mondeo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.58‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
