On Friday, 12 April 2019, in the evening at 18:20, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 10.91), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo S40 and a Subaru Forester. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Volvo (6 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.10‰ blood alcohol).
