On Saturday, 20 April 2019, at night at around 4:00, in Kaunas, on K. Donelaičio street near No. 17, a BMW 316 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
