On Thursday, 9 May 2019, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Kapsų street near No. 58, at the junction with Širvintų street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 6, an Alfa Romeo 145, a Ford Mondeo and an Audi Allroad. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Mazda (30 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
