On Saturday, 11 May 2019, in the afternoon at 15:40, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Radiškis–Anykščiai–Rokiškis national road (kilometre 22), a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.21‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
