On Saturday, 29 June 2019, in the afternoon at 13:16, in Šiauliai, on Žemaitės street, at the junction with Vytauto street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Setra and a Renault Megane Scenic. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 72-year-old driver of the Setra (34 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
