On Monday, 8 July 2019, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with J. Basanavičiaus al., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 5ER Reihe and a Volvo FH. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the BMW (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
