On Friday, 19 July 2019, in the evening at 20:35, in Šiaulių district municipality, on Ventos street near No. 6, a Volkswagen Golf hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (3.09‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
