On Saturday, 20 July 2019, in the morning at around 5:00, in Biržų district municipality, on D. Poškos street, at the junction with Žemaitės street, a BMW 330D ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.60‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
