On Saturday, 3 August 2019, in the evening at 18:58, in Plungės district municipality, Jovaišiškės village, on Rietavo street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and a Mazda 6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Audi, who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (2.28‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
