On Monday, 12 August 2019, in the evening at 22:01, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 15.15), a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Latvia ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the DAF (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
