On Sunday, 18 August 2019, at night at 0:19, in Kaunas, on K. Baršausko street, at the junction with Breslaujos street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Prius and a BMW 530 D. Two people were injured — a 20-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient) and a 45-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Toyota (3 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
