On Saturday, 24 August 2019, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kauno city municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 0.03), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Jeep (11 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
