On Wednesday, 16 October 2019, in the afternoon at 13:50, in Kaunas, on Karaliaus Mindaugo pr., at the junction with Kaunakiemio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Zafira and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 83-year-old driver of the Opel (22 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
