On Sunday, 27 October 2019, in the evening at around 17:00, in Lazdijų district municipality, Kuklių village, on the Leipalingis–Lazdijai–Kalvarija national road (kilometre 27.10), a BMW 525 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs. He was drunk (1.74‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
