On Tuesday, 29 October 2019, in the evening at 20:30, in Utenos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 148.40), a DAF FT 105XF460 registered in Russia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the DAF (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
