On Saturday, 2 November 2019, in the evening at around 18:00, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Sedos street near No. 49A, an Opel Astra hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 15-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 48-year-old driver of the Opel (20 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
