On Sunday, 3 November 2019, at night at 2:30, in Ukmergės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 90), a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (19 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.80‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
