On Thursday, 21 November 2019, in the evening at 18:55, in Kaunas, on K. Baršausko street near No. 66C, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Chrysler Town & Country, an Audi A4, a Toyota Prius, a Toyota Auris and a Volkswagen Caddy. Five people were injured — a 10-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient), the 40-year-old driver of the Audi (treated as an outpatient), the 64-year-old driver of the Toyota Auris (treated as an outpatient), a 13-year-old passenger of the Chrysler (treated as an outpatient) and a 35-year-old passenger of the Chrysler (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Chrysler, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.37‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
