On Saturday, 7 December 2019, in the afternoon at 16:33, in Vilnius, on Salomėjos Nėries street, at the junction with P. Žadeikos street, a Mitsubishi Lancer hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (25 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
