On Monday, 16 December 2019, in the afternoon at 15:59, in Klaipėda, on Taikos pr. near No. 41, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane Scenic and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
