On Monday, 6 January 2020, in the morning at around 8:00, in Šiauliai, on Aušros al., at the junction with Tilžės street, a Toyota Yaris hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 52-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Toyota (15 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
