On Monday, 17 February 2020, in the morning at around 7:00, in Klaipėda, on Priestočio street, at the junction with Šaulių street, a Saab hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 32-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Saab (24 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
