On Tuesday, 25 February 2020, at night at 23:44, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr. near No. 32B, at the junction with Studentų street, a Renault Megane Scenic hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Renault (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.21‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
