On Wednesday, 26 February 2020, in the morning at 9:10, in Utenos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 144.56), a Saab 9-3 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Saab (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
