On Tuesday, 3 March 2020, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Šiaulių street near No. 16, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a car and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of a car (18 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
