On Wednesday, 4 March 2020, at night at around 1:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, on Šiaulių street near No. 17, an Audi A3 registered in Norway ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Audi (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
