On Friday, 13 March 2020, in the evening at 21:35, in Anykščių district municipality, on Vytauto street, a BMW hit an obstacle. Two people were injured — the 23-year-old driver of the BMW (hospitalized) and a 16-year-old passenger of the BMW (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
