On Sunday, 5 April 2020, in the evening at 19:44, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 54), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Subaru Legacy and a Mazda. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Subaru (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.39‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
