On Monday, 7 June 2021, in the morning at 7:30, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 54), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Hyundai i 30 and a Toyota Yaris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Hyundai (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
