On Thursday, 9 April 2020, in the afternoon at 12:10, in Kaunas, on Kalniečių street, at the junction with Ukmergės street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW and a Mercedes-Benz. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the BMW, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
