On Monday, 20 April 2020, in the evening at 17:40, in Kaunas, on Kalvarijos street, at the junction with Juodelynės street, a BMW 525 D ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the BMW (28 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.60‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
