On Friday, 29 May 2020, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 101), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz Actros, a Nissan Qashqai and a Schmitz Cargobull. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (30 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
