On Friday, 19 June 2020, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Utenos district municipality, on Molėtų street, at the junction with Palangos street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Ford Fiesta and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 85-year-old driver of the Ford (40 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
