On Monday, 22 June 2020, at night at 23:50, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 24.80), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6, a Volvo FH12 and a Schwarzmueller. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.02‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. The 42-year-old driver of the Volvo had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
