On Friday, 10 July 2020, in the evening at 22:35, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Vandžiogala national road (kilometre 9.12), a Ford Galaxy hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 39-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 71-year-old driver of the Ford (19 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
