On Sunday, 12 July 2020, in the evening at around 20:00, in Klaipėda, on Poilsio street near No. 37, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4 Avant and an Opel Vectra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (3.72‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
