On Sunday, 19 July 2020, in the morning at 10:16, in Kaunas, on Juodelynės street, at the junction with Moliūgų tak., a BMW 730 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.61‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
