On Monday, 20 July 2020, in the evening at 18:20, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžio aplinkkelis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Latvia, an Iveco Daily and a Krone SD registered in Latvia. Two people were injured — a 52-year-old passenger of the Iveco (treated as an outpatient) and the 59-year-old driver of the Iveco (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the DAF (10 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
