On Sunday, 26 July 2020, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kretingos district municipality, Pecelių village, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 113.50), a BMW ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the BMW (2 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
