On Sunday, 26 July 2020, at night at 23:30, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 67.28), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6, an Audi A3 and an Opel Corsa. Three people were injured — the 21-year-old driver of the Opel (hospitalized), the 22-year-old driver of the Audi A3 (treated as an outpatient) and a 2-year-old passenger of the Audi A3 (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Audi A6 (2 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.05‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
