On Monday, 27 July 2020, in the evening at 17:55, in Kaunas, on Kranto al., at the junction with Kranto 11-oji street, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz A170 and a BMW. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.33‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
