On Wednesday, 29 July 2020, in the afternoon at 14:35, in Vilnius, on Dariaus ir Girėno street near No. 19A, a BMW 525 D hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 29-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
