On Monday, 10 August 2020, in the evening at around 19:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 283.40), a Nissan Note hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Nissan (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
