On Sunday, 27 June 2021, at night at 1:10, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 282.10), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 206+ and a Toyota. Three people were injured — a 27-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt), a 17-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt) and a 18-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Peugeot (1 year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
