On Monday, 17 August 2020, in the evening at 17:13, in Kaunas, on Kovo 11-osios street, at the junction with Taikos pr., a Volkswagen Golf hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 35-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (1 year of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
