On Sunday, 23 August 2020, in the evening at 21:50, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 32), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 206 and a Subaru Forester. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Peugeot (11 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. She was drunk (2.41‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
