On Monday, 24 August 2020, in the morning at around 10:00, in Šilutės district municipality, on Knygnešių street near No. 15, a falling cargo occurred. The accident involved a KIA Motors Carens and a MAN. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the MAN (25 years of driving experience), who violated cargo-transport rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
